BRIAN BERGMAN, has been practising yoga, meditation, and mindfulness for more than 25 years. He has been practising conscious dance for over 12 years and has an incredible passion for music. Awake Human Being and Dance Awake were founded by Brian in 2016. What he presents here are the gems distilled from his exploration into conscious dance as a spiritual practice.
Brian received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Yogic Studies in 2003 from the Bihar Yoga Bharati in India. Since then he has taught yoga and mindfulness, including at prisons for the past 10 years.
He qualified as a Dancing Freedom Facilitator in 2013 and has offered Dance Awake classes in Cape Town since then. He also holds several in-person retreats and workshops a year and hosts a system of practices through the Awake Human Being Online Academy.
